Agility

Here are pictures from Hobbes' first competition!!!  Doesn't he look great?  He got third because the a-frame wasn't like one he had ever  gone over before, but I'm sure he'll get it next time.

Hey Celeste!! Hobbes had a killer weekend - he was entered in 5
classes in the CPE trial in Zephyrhills on Friday and Saturday - he
got disqualified in his very first run (he wouldn't go over the
dogwalk or the a-frame again) - but after I grabbed him & MADE him go over, he got a lot more confident. He not only qualified on the rest of his runs - he came in second once & first three times!! In the Jackpot game (where all the obstacles have a point value and you have 40 seconds to get as many points as possible) he smoked the
competition & got 61 points (all he needed was 40 points to qualify)!!
I am so proud of him!!

By the way - the first day he was pretty nervous with all the other
dogs around. So the second day, I brought Beaker along & Hobbes' was so much calmer!! It's a match made in heaven!

~ Court

PS - I will send some action shots along as soon as I get them from my friend!

I just got these sent to me by a friend at the trial!  Go Hobbes!

Hi Celeste!  Hobbes met a lot of cool corgis today at the NADAC trial- and I met Lee English (not sure about the spelling?) who said she knew you!  Hobbes got two qualifying runs - and two firsts, one second & a third place - he had a lot of fun.  And Beaker's getting quite the fan club at trials - everyone is enjoying watching him grow up, I think.

WONDERFUL NEWS

Hey Celeste!  Hobbes had another great weekend - he's one class short of getting his Complete Level 1 Title in CPE agility...  He had 6 qualifying runs & finished 1st in every single class he competed in!

Another, Shining Star "bebe girl"  started her clases to being
a champion at agility. This is "Hobbes" half-sister. From what I hear, she's doing real well. You go 'bebe' and show "Hobbes" you have the "STUFF" too.

Here are some new pictures of bebe.  There are two of her
learning the obstacles at the agility course.  She absolutely
loves the tunnel.  She will run through it a hundred miles an
hour no matter how many turns you put in the 12 feet of tunnel.
I can't thank you enough for such a wonderful Corgi.  bebe is
so smart and easy to train, you only have to show her a couple
of times and she will be doing whatever you are trying to teach
her.  I will send more pictures soon.
With love,
Wendy and bebe girl

Congratulations to "bebe girl" and her mother, Wendy, at their first USDAA Agility show 5/17. bebe and her friend "Charlie"(Cairn mix) and his mother, Pam, won the "Pairs" class out of 16 entries. We are so proud!!!

"bebe" and her whole training team all did really well, on 6/15/08 at an AKC trial in Orlando, with all their blue ribbons to show for it!! Congratulations "bebe",we are again, very proud of you! We know you will go real far with agility and looking forward to seeing you do it!

If you are interested in doing Agility with your dog and would like to talk to these ladies just let me know and I will get you in contact with them.

We are VERY PROUD of Courtney and Hobbes,
Wendy and "bebe girl"
it takes allot of work to get there.
